[quote=John23;18487674]The differences between the upper east coast...rhode island, vermont, new hampshire, etc are night and day.

Dunno about RI lacking diversity. Lots of Jews, Italians, Irish, Puerto Ricans, Portuguese, Brazilians, African Americans, Asians, Greeks.

The other states like NH and VT I would agree have no diversity.

RI is more of the more diverse states.

Has your friend been to L.A.?
My friend used to live there. And I am also looking for cultural differences, and other things, folks.

LOL. There actually is a reason for the "Olds" in the northeast. It's because the towns or cities already existed in England. Then when people settled in the area from England, they just...well, weren't very creative, I guess!! "Aw blimey. Let's just call this 'un New York."
