I'm thinking about living at the apartments at the Americana at Brand in Glendale. Please let me know your thoughts or experiences living there - good or bad?

Depends what you are looking for. I don't have knowledge of the actual apartments, but they are new and look pretty nice. They are also very expensive, particularly for Glendale.

The area is an urban oasis in the middle of suburban Glendale. There is a lot of shopping and dining around. A few bars are located north of the mall on Brand Blvd. For nightlife, it isn't the greatest but you are close to Burbank, Old Town Pasadena, and even Hollywood/Vine.

If you are a young professional and need to live there to be close to work, it is pretty decent. But if you are living there just to pick a place and want nightlife, you can spend less money for a better and younger area in that respect.

Take a tour of the apartments when the area is packed with shoppers. This will help you decide if the noice is heard in the apartment you might choose.
