I've found most of the time surface streets are faster. From Sherman Oaks to Woodland Hills and vice versa for example, Ventura at rush hour is waay faster than the Freeway.

From Northridge to Woodland Hills take Parthenia to DeSoto and it would be 30 min max. Not a bad commute as far as LA goes at all.

Well back in the eighties my address was Northridge. I lived on Tampa, 1 block north of Rinaldi. Could it be Porter Ranch now?

My friends used to live there , it was close to school in woodland hills , not a long commute . they lived there for quite a few years until the 1994 earthquake destroyed their house.

Well when looking at rentals I notice that a lot put Porter Ranch and Northridge in the same basket. It looks like Porter Ranch is pretty far north to be considered the same as NR but I dont know there area well enough. Are the relatively close?

4.5 miles from Northridge to Porter Ranch with Granada Hills in between but a little east. It's the same general area.
