Im thinking about moving to the LA area in the near future and was curious about the pitbull laws there. Last time I heard anything about them there was a ban. Is this still in effect or are there just restrictions? I have tried doing a google search but only seem to come up with laws regarding rottweilers.

There is no "ban" on Pitbulls. There should however be a ban on idiots (gang members, gang affiliates, red necks, low lifes, ex-cons, etc.) owning them and/or having them in/on or around their place of residence.

You may find "bans" when you try to rent or buy a place to live.

Can't argue with that. Pitbulls make great pets if the owners raise them properly. Unfortunately, this often isn't the case.

I own one. The only problem I had was with homeowner's ins. I went with a company that's pit bull friendly, and I insisted the agent come out to the house to see how sweet she is when it comes to humans.
