When I patrolled that area, I regularly ate at Clifton's. Yes, I did pay full price for my meals, too. In my younger days, my Mom would always take me to Clifton's after shopping downtown.

The owner's of Little Joe's were long-time friends of my family. Ate there the last day it was open. Have a nice collection of menus, plates and ashtrays from over the years. I miss that place....

I loved Clifton's!! Growing up my parents would take us kids and grandparents to the one in the Lakewood Mall! I can still smell the liver & onions and cherry lime jell-o!

It's funny reading about shopping at Bullocks and eating at Clifton's--that must have been a common thing because I know we did it, too.
