I remember when it was 75 cents to take a bus or a train, now it's 1.25 last time I checked.

When did you stop using public transportation in LA and why?

I use it all the time, and love it.
Sometimes its hard though. Like today, I got sandwiched in between 2 big guys, weird.

I use LA and OC's mass transit frequently! It is far from perfect but much more pleasant that the naysayers would have people think.

I rode from 1972 to 1974. Nothing like being beat up by your past friends.

When we moved. Still use it when we're in town for visits. It keeps getting better and better.

I never really have, but I'll start when the rail system gets better. Oh, and complaining that the fair is now 1.25? That is still some of the cheapest in the country. NY is about a dollar more!

I used it quite often in the late 70's and 80's, but even back then it was a rather filthy affair (at one time I even sat on wet graffiti and had part of somebody's tag printed on my sweatpants).

I took a bus again for a brief time in 2005, but got so disgusted by some of the people I had to share the bus with, that I don't think I'll do it again for a rather long time.

I tried it before, but was so disgusted I couldn't use it anymore... all the smelly and crazy screaming people, and one time I saw what I believe to be a louse crawling down the back of the bus seat--that was it.
