Great photos!! Really puts a lie to the notion that LA is simply a 100 cookie cutter suburbs in search of a city. Quite a diverse array of neighorhoods and vistas.

With all the traffic and the horrendous current state of our streets (read: potholes), it's nice to be reminded that we live in an interesting, eclectic region.

Uh...

Is that the Mexican side of LA? LA is said to be very diverse, but based on those pictures, LA is basically Mexico with a few white people sprinkled in.

as always, great pics. i really liked that you venture into macarthur park. those pics show the dichotomy that is LA. most of us here tend to live in our little bubbles and forget that huge areas of LA are packed to the gills with latin american immigrants in mostly unsavory conditions.
