Default Driving from FL to LA

I will be driving from FL to LA in a few weeks to move. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on routes to take.

I know that I can basically take the I-10 all way across the country, but I was told to avoid it in Texas b/c of poor road quality. It was suggested that I take the I-20 in Texas instead.

No just take the 10 all the way over. I drove it in a 350z and didn't notice the roads being in bad condition. I drove from Central Florida to the Texas border...got up the next day early and drove the entire state and then stopped in El Paso....3rd day is cake, you should arrive in LA sometime around 5pm if you get up early enough.

I did it a few months ago and my g/f did it recently as well (from Ft. Lauderdale). The roads were fine all the way across the 10. Try to time it so you can drive through Texas during the day since the daytime speedlimit goes up to 80mph...while after dusk it lowers to 65mph. Good luck...I did it with one 6 hour stop in San Antonio...but I'm a lunatic!
