I have some of my dads old yearbooks and wondering if anyone know of a historical society or group who make like to have them. They are from George Washington High School is Los Angeles - 1931, 1932, 1933 and 1934. There are some advertisements also which are priceless. I am doing some checking but thought I would inquire here. Thanks.

Can't answer your question, but between my Mom and Dad's old yearbooks, I have Inglewood High covered from 1939 - 1945. I'm passing them on so the grands and great-grands etc etc can read the war years stuff and all the goofy inscriptions, including the one from Jeanne Crain to my Dad.

Fontucky - my dad lived in Inglewood but went to Washington High - I'll have to try to find out the address to see whee it is - or was. My mother was from Milwaukee, WI. She died when I was about 5 - so I never found out how they met or why she was in California - and all the relatives who would know are all gone.

He must have lived in far Southwest Inglewood. My Mom lived in Morningside Park (The Avenues) and went IHS. My Dad lived in Windsor Hills and went to IHS also.

Try asking the LA Public Library. They collect some historical items, otherwise could direct you to some possible places who would appreciate them (perhaps even a local library branch; I think some of the libraries have their own mini-local history collections). Otherwise (and I don't know that part of LA, but think this covers the right area?), there's the Historical Society of Centinela Valley: http://www.histsocentvalley.org/; (broken link) they might be interested.

Did you ever find something to do with your Dad's yearbooks? I have the same years from my mother and father!
