Hi everyone!!! I was wondering if some of y'all could help me out a little bit.. I'm working on a college paper and I'm suppose to find (well, try to find) what makes/types of vehicles sell in the Beverly Hills (zip code 90210) area the most?? I've looked at so many sites at it doesn't say much of anything so I came across this one and thought I would ask.. I'm from western KY so when it comes to anything outside the state especially all the way across the U.S., I'm totally lost! Thanks for any help!! I really appreciate it!!!

Kristen

Default Call a dealer

If I were you, I would use Yahoo Local to find car dealers in the 90210 zip code. Then I would call them and just ask what their most popular sellers are. Hope that helps.

I thought about calling the dealerships too... They may think I am crazy but I don't care. I have 4 other cities I am suppose to do this to as well so I have been writing down phone numbers to call tomorrow... When I think of Beverly Hills, I think of "ritzy" things... maybe I just seen Pretty Woman a few to many times LOL

Thanks y'all!! I really do appreciate your help!!

Probably impossible to analyze for any specific region/zip

Many cars in high-end areas are leased (so technically owned by leasing arms of MB, Ferrari, Porsche, etc); many are registered as corporate cars to an office address; and many affluent have multiple homes (where BH area is just a wkend home), so see many new Mercedes/Ferrari/Porsche in BH area technically registered to primary homes in Silicon Valley, Dallas/Houston, Seattle, Chicago, NYC, etc

Would probably seek Mercedes sales data on Net to best figure out data, as arguably some new Mercedes S/CL/SL is the commuter car of choice for wealthy in CA or TX or NYC

Also should slice data between sales of new >$100K Mercedes (~10% of MB sales) vs <$100K Mercedes

IIRC, have seen data somewhere that perhaps 20% of US' new, $150K+ Mercedes AMGs are sold/driven in BH area; perhaps 30% are sold/driven in PaloAlto/SF corridor; perhaps 15% in NewportBch (another popular wkend home area for wealthy from elsewhere in CA or TX, etc)...similar % of US' new Ferraris and new $150K+ Porsches are likely found in these "Big 3" regions where these cars are not uncommon in daily traffic, even on rainy winter days, as they are commuter cars in these corridors

Would connect dots on sales data by checking with the Big 3 dealers...BH Benz, Autobahn (on SF Peninsula) and FletcherJones in NewportBch...
