Wow, downtown is looking great! The lofts all look inviting, and although I haven't been inside, every time I've seen it, I fall a little in love with the Eastern Building. I see another fav spot, Coles. Yum. I feel ignorant for not knowing there was ice skating.

Gorgeous pics as usual, pwright1. Thanks for posting them. I'll go cry now and then add some money to the Vacation In Los Angeles account.

Absolutely impressive! Makes me want to really spend some time, both during working hours and nightlife hours, in DTLA next time I'm out there.

Outstanding. You've done a good job of catching the spirit of Downtown.

Yes, EXCELLENT photos!

Incredible to think how far downtown has come in the last 10 years....and the slow march of progress has continued despite the lousy economy.

Downtown photos with sidewalks filled with people. Amazing how "decent" Pershing Square looks with people in it. Otherwise it's got to be one of the most poorly designed public spaces in any major city.

Downtown LA will continue to improve as more housing and retail comes to the area (from big names like Target to small neighborhood oriented bars & stores). The Civic Park (under construction) will be nice; however, I fear that space is too far removed from the residential nodes of Downtown (Historic Core, Arts District, So. Park) to be fully activated all the time. I still welcome it but I hope for MORE pocket parks to bring more green space throughout downtown.
