Hello All,

My husband and me would be moving to LA soon and we were wondering how feasible it is with our different working locations?

One would go to Irwindale, LA and other to Torrance , LA.

We have only one car and would rather not buy a second one.

Do you think its feasible travel if we stay in West Covina ? Are there local transports available for such travel requirements ? Please suggest a location to stay if Covina doesn't look good.

Thanks !

Are you both working during the day? If so, whoever goes to Torrance will have a pretty bad commute. Morning traffic goes mostly south on that part of the 605; evening traffic north.

this sounds nearly impossible with only one car. i'm pretty sure you can get just about anywhere in LA county by bus, it could take hours to go one way and multiple transfers (higher margin of missing a transfer) if you traveling a significant distance. if it were me, i'd buy a second car and live somewhere like cerritos.

Why don't you live in Torrance, then only one of you will need the car. And Torrance is pretty nice.
