Assuming you're talking about the Crown and Anchor it's an OK place. I'm not sure I would call it worth the drive if you live in Simi.

Simi is a nice place to live, culture, restaurants, farming community nearby. Yep it's hot but so are a lot of places. Simi is next door to Thousand Oaks so you can have the best of both towns.

I worked in Simi for a few years and hated it. I REALLY HATED IT. The only good thing about Simi Valley is the presidential library for the great Ronald Regan. Simi is a very conservative town that is greatly lacking in cultural diversity. Moving to Los Angeles and deciding to live in Simi Valley is like going into Cold Stone Creamery or Basking Robbins and asking for plain vanilla instead of one of the thousand of other flavors, mixings and toppings that are available.

Hope youre not planning on working for Countrywide in Simi because they are definately a company in trouble.

I prefer the Thousand Oaks area to Simi Valley. I lived in both. I would live in the TO area again but I would never live in SV again.

It's also hard to get in and out of Simi Valley. I love how TO has the 101 running through it. It opens you up to more stuff to do. Simi Valley is very limited.

Simi has the 118 running through it. Ever since they connected the 23 kind of eliminated any advantage one freeway has over the other don't you think?

It really depends.

If to the SFV for jobs then it is about the same - again, it depends where, Northridge or Encino for example. But if they have to go over the Sepulveda Pass to LA, then obviously 101 is closer. The 23 is pretty bad southbound after about 700AM and from much of Simi just getting to the 23 is 10-20 minutes (unless you are at First & 118 or Wood Ranch).
