I will be picking my wife up at LAX early in the morning next week. We will head for home along Hiway 1 through Santa Monica and Malibu.

Is there a great breakfast spot located along that route?

Thanks.....

The Omelette Parlor on Main St in Santa Monica is good. (Too bad you're not going to Manhattan Beach and you could go to Uncle Bill's.)

We ate at Patricks, what a great little place, the decor was unique and pretty interesting, the food was great. My omelette ranked right up there with omelettes at Le Pom De Pin a small french cafe on the west shore of Tahoe, as one of the best I have ever eaten, exquisite.

Thanks for those who steered us thataway.

I'm obviously a bit late to offer recommendations for your recent trip, but if you do it again any time soon or anyone else needs a recommendation, Coogie's in the Malibu in the colony shopping center is pretty good and it's almost certain you'll see at least one celebrity. I remember seeing Sean Penn there a few years ago with his now estranged wife among others.
