Is Pasadena a safe area by the way? I saw some nice condos there online but I'm not sure about the area. I figured since its further from the city it may be safer/quieter?

PS: Thank you SlowMotionApocalypse for the reply on traffic!!

No, I read about it on this board but it seems too far away from W Hollywood, even further than Studio City. Plus I read that there's lots of artsy type people there and mom and pop restaurants/stores... I'm not into the artsy thing.

I like Hollywood the most (West Hollywood probably to be exact but too expensive for me) and Studio City. I actually didn't think I would like it because it's the valley and it sounded kind of boring but Ventura is nice.

I sent you a private message btw. Did you receive it?

No, it isn't.

Studio City is a very nice neighborhood, though. Not as safe as Burbank but still pretty safe by L.A. standards.

Pasadena is very safe, esp. south of the 210 Freeway. Though even north of the freeway has some good parts too. Pasadena is overall very safe with many amenities (shopping, entertainment, cultural facilities, etc) and it is a city with a lot of charm too.

You might also consider Los Feliz....it is very close to Hollywood (FYI: it is a neighborhood in the City of Los Angeles).

LA doesn't really have suburbs the way most people think of suburbs.

@majoun
Thank you for the reply! I appreciate it.

@SalParadise
Oh good! I'll have to stop by there when I make my trip then and check it out. At least I know thats an option as well. And thank you for the suggestion.

@Senshi
I'm guessing it's busy and maybe like NY suburbs (since they're both big cities) but not ever going to be like where I live. Where I live, you can leave your house door or car doors open and not worry about anyone stealing anything, haha.
My moms really concerned with safety since I'll be moving so far away from home....and its not a state we ever vacationed in...so we have no idea what CA is like.

Thanks for the replies everyone. If anyone have any more recommendations feel free to post them! I'll check it all out. :3
