California Polytechnic State University has two campuses in the SoCal area. One in Pomona, which is in LA, and another in San Luis Obispo, which is a beautiful inland city in San Luis Obispo county. I would rather go to SLO since it's a better area than Pomona.
California Institute of Technology is located in Pasadena, which is the nicest city of both of LA's valleys. Those three colleges are all very good. But, then, all of our state schools (UCLA, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, Cal State Universities) offer a program in that, they just don't specialize in techonology. Our UC system is better than our CSU system. USC is a separate private school and is not part of any system. If you need more advice, feel free to ask. |

Are you looking for a B.S. in Computer Science or are you looking for a quick game programming technology school? They are very different.
I would always recommend the Computer Science path as a degree stands the test of time. If so, then CalTech would be the best school in the area, but very tough. |
