I have been subjected to the same problem, Athens services in southern California handles a large waste management system & service. YouTube them unbelievable. Imo they're competent and environmentally conscious, to a degree. The videos show the way your garbage is processed, recycled & non recycled. Huge company, as big as public storage which is the flipside of the garbage collection business, imo these two entities are the biggest byproduct of the global mass market, the acquiring and disposal of STUFF to see in Athens Services © video's the waste sorting, compacting, compost processing & landfill depositing is mind boggling yet its a big lesson in environmental education we take for granted what poorer nations may not have available to them. It taught me to live simpler and compartmentalize my lifestyle as obvious as those 3 different trash containers are; they service a bigger picture. The movie made by Mike Judge " idiocracy" attests our over consumption will play a part in our future good or bad we will either conform to a environmental practice which works in harmony with mother earth or suffer the consequences. The future is NOW time to deal with it because it's not going anywhere but back to life or inevitably the latter... What's interesting is all of my thoughts arose out of the insistent beeping disturbing my sleep of the garbage collectors truck (safety) picking up the trash today... Go figure One mans trash is another man or woman's Treasure

Stupid LA Democrats city counsel mandated that the trucks run on natural gas so there so gutless that the drivers drive them floored at all times, thats why there so noisy and a lot more noise than the backup beeper.

Is the beeping waking you up? I usually don't hear the back-up beeping because the trash truck backs up at the end of the block but I do hear the loud roar of the trash truck. If it bothers you that much you could wear ear muffs.
