What are some symbols/icons you think of when you think of L.A.

For me, some of the things I think of...

James Dean
Marilyn Monroe
Day of the Dead

Jane's Addiction
Red Hot Chile Peppers
Concrete Blond
Motley Crue
Guns N Roses
Brian Setzer Orchestra
Fast Food
Muscle Beach

Those are a personal list of some of what I think about. I'll think of more soon. How about for you?

That mod looking round house that you see on tv all the time. Don't know the name of it. Drew Barrymore was pushed through the window in Charlie's Angels.
Also, the building downtown that has four cylinders--built in the 80s I believe, and seen in lots of clips.

L.A. City Hall (in lots of films and T.V. series, including "Dragnet"), Union Station (in tons of films), the Bradbury Building ("Blade Runner"), Santa Monica Pier ("The Sting," "All Fall Down"), the Chatsworth Tunnel (okay, maybe not iconic, but it was in the beginning of one of my favorite gangster films, "White Heat"). And, of course, the spider-shaped building in the middle of LAX.
