Should i relocate from suburban London - Southern California? (Compton: estate, housing)

back to what i was saying LA is the gang capital of the world. LA has about 200 black crip gangs and about 75 blood gangs and over 500 mexican gangs. there is over 20,000 asian gang members in LA. 18 street gang has about 20,000 gang members and there main rival is another LA gang named
ms-13 which is the most dangerous gang in the world. MS-13 started in LA. LA has its safe places and it has its very dangerous areas.

I live in the suburban portion of London which is accounts for a furthur 7 - 8 million people, there are actually loads of gangs. My old community near Guildford had 4 or 5 different groups going around the streets at night...some armed some not. The thing is my old community had a population less than 10,000 people so thats saying something i would say South London has over 200 gang like groups. The main gangs are hilighted in reports but the nine or ten guys at the back of the mini-mart, dressed in balaclarvers with knives and alcahol aren't accounted for. Theres 100s of groups like these and they reguarlly end up fighting one-another.

So actually you dont know nothing about life in Suburban London.

haha but the police and another sites said london as a whole has around 169 gangs. hey ur talking about guys walking down ur street in london who are armed with guns but that dont mean anything bcuz in some nicer areas in southern cali they do the same thing. Compton has less than 100,000 people living there and still it has more gangmembers than all of london from what the sites are saying. london gangs are like the canadian gangs meaning they dont get respected in the states and thats a fact its like they are trying hard to copy whats real out here and when you ever live around real gangs in cali you would know what im talking about. wheneva u hear about london you hear money and tea and crumpits and alot of rich folks and thats not hating but its the truth but when u hear about compton u hear about crime and gangs and thats it. show me any sites backing london gangs bcuz all the pics im seeing its a really rich and nice looking place. but compton thats hell on earth. if your black or mexican and is walking down the wrong street in compton your dead point blank. there is alot of rough areas in LA. dont go to compton and dont go to watts. watts meaning the jordan down projects and the other is the nickerson gardens. nickerson gardens and jordan down projects might be worst than compton. going in the nickerson gardens is instant death. they dont play over there and they have kids running wild with hatches cutting bodies up and when the police come thru they have to bring like 50 cops bcuz they shot at cops too. show me anyyyyyy footage of any london gang please. ok here is a video of south london gangs

compton boys are crazy and they hit men, women, and kids. i hate gangs period and i know so much about them bcuz i was raised around gangs being in southern cali. there is alot of mexican gangs and black gangs that beef. its a race thing out here too and even the asian gangs are crazy but they get along with black gangs but hate mexican gangs. hahaha yeah i dont know anything about london just like u dont know anything about LA gangs or even USA gangs. trust me on this too dont compare detroit crime vs london crime period bcuz detroit folks are really crazy and aint nobody wants to live there. show me anywhere in london and still it looks nice. you wont see that in compton period

Perhaps because few inhabitants of Compton have been in Brixton and vice versa?

If you think all of London's nice, you haven't been there. And there are areas of London that look worse than most of South Central.

And there are UK cities worse than London,like Manchester or Nottingham.

seriously why do you uk folks have so much to prove. london is no compton or watts or south central. i seen some nice pics of manchester and nottingham and still compton wished they had those nice buildings and green grass and trees. go to compton and most of the grass is dead also.

It's not exactly safe to go walking around Britain's bad neighborhoods snapping photos just like in plenty of other places, so I don't have any of my own....

I'm talking about how areas LOOK. Hackney or Brixton are safer than Compton (not that they're safe by any standard) but there are large parts of South Central that are violent as all hell but don't LOOK bad during the day.

Ahem... How did everyone get stuck on the gang thing? Yeah, LA has gangs but they are primarily in certain areas so you don't have to hang out with them if you don't want to. And most of the violence from gangs is gang against gang -- not gang against your grandma.

If you are planning to move to LA, I'd suggest you come out here and rent first. That way you'd know where you really want to live.

As far as snowboarding and swimming in the same day: I think you need to live near the mountains north of the San Gabriel Valley to do both. Only a few of the mountains around here offer skiing in the winter.

Some areas get street racers, most do not. If you drive on the freeways between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m., you can catch a lot of guys doing 100+ mph if you go to the right places. (I used to see them coming home from work.) The police like seeing them too. In Los Angeles, they confiscate and destroy the cars.

As far as the drug problem goes... I think it was a lot worse in the '80s but what do I know? Pot and cocaine were a lot more popular back then. I know crystal meth is a problem these days in a lot of areas but I don't hear much about it here. Perhaps the high cost of housing plus the fact we are packed in like sardines stops the meth cookers from settling here? I don't really know.

you sure about that bcuz on the news 2 older women where killed in LA. i think the both of them was trying to confront taggers and was killed.
