If you read...Denver was previously ranked #1 because Boulder was included. (They switched from metropolitan to urban area this year) Boulder has some of the hottest women in the country. The actual survey was done by Forbes magazine Best Cities For Singles - Forbes.com |

How is a survey going to demonstrate what is a "quality match"? Again, I am curious about the data/criteria used to determine a city's eligibility, see above posts regarding Alaska and Florida. |

the criteria was a combination of the following
-culture -nightlife -number of singles -job growth -cost of living alone -online dating scene i think this blend did a good job...personally being a single i'd want to live in sf, la, ny, or chicago (4 of the top 5) even though, according to you, a city in alaska has a lot of singles, it does not compare in these other areas and therefore did not make the list highest ranking florida city is miami (20)...it has a terrible score in the number of singles (probably because of their "ineligibility") as well as the other florida cities. miami made it to 20 because of it's nightlife and job growth. look at the rankings on the forbes sight, it is much clearer why each city placed as it did |

Jack, what is your experience for single males in Denver? Way too many guys? How are the women there? Friendly? Attractive? Not enough of them? Hesitant to date? Shallow? Are SoCal women a lot more attractive? What is this "women use their ears" stuff you keep saying? |

"Quality" singles is the key here. I for one will beat the drum loudly on behalf of all the beautiful singles in Atlanta. Where do you think all those beautiful coeds you see on TV from watching SEC college football games end up moving when they start working? Yep, Atlanta. That entire city is a meat market of beautiful post-grad singles.
The only caveat is you have to love the southern accent and myopic regionalism that pervades the southern attitude -- of course, being married now, there was little reason to stay longer in the ATL ![]() |

Don't get me wrong, I had enough female companionship in Colorado. But the quality of appearance was lower, and there was more work involved in keeping interest due to the high number of guys that could be Choice #2. (Women know all about Choice #2, trust me) Yes. In the sense that the competition out here is big, and so they dress nicer, and take WAY better care of their bodies. They wear nicer make-up and get their hair done more as well. Etc. Etc. (I will say that LA women are potentially more shallow, but since there are more women out here, that sort of evens the odds for us guys )I said it in one post, to one specific person. My point was that pimping is not as simple as "having money." I could write a diatribe about how to treat women properly, but I won't. If you're interested in being lambasted about your hygiene, how to treat a woman like a queen while still maintaining your masculinity, talking and listening with respect, being a man (A true man, not a boys idea of a man) and all the other things that will get you a GF [or help you pick up girls] with very little money required; message me. Or start a thread somewhere in open forums. ![]() |

JackSparrow, I understand what you are saying! Alaska has plenty of single men but I would never in a million years move to Alaska. My dad lived there back in the 70's and I've heard all of his stories about Alaska but I do understand parts are very beautiful. I think somebody else said mentioned Miami. I was raised in South Florida and lived in Miami. Miami is somewhat of a hell hole. I lived there up until Hurricane Andrew. There are very nice parts like South Beach and Biscayne Bay but would never live there again.

That's true for many of the truly wealthy people in L.A.
