Best to place to work and live?
I'm currently on active duty and want to retire in 10 years. I currently live in Houston, and commute once or twice year to visit my mom in Gardena. A lot of people say I should by a home In LA and use the VA home loan, and some people say I should retire in Texas because of the low cost of living. Right now I'm working on my master degree in health-care management, and MBA, and I wont to eventually want too work at a public health department. After doing my research I found that the LA county health department has more job opportunities than the health department in Houston. I really wont too work for the LA County Health department, but I 'm a little concerned with the real estate market in LA.
