Moving to the area and have been looking at the Archstone apartments in Studio City. Does anyone know anything about these apartments? Is this a safe area? Any info. on these apartments would be greatly appreciated?

Thanks!

I've heard good things. I know they are more expensive. They look newer too. The area is very very desirable. Lots of stuff to walk to in the area like grocery stores, restaurants, a few bars. It is located right by CBS and just a short distance from lots of other major studios.

Thank you for your response!

We looked at them last week when we were in town and they looked very nice. Then I came home and read reviews on the internet that were not very good. Just wanted to see if anyone had any experience or knew anything about them.

The location would be great for us!

Most internet reviews in LA are not good though. Generally only people who want to complain about an apartment will write a review. Plus, LA is so transient and people move all the time, so there are a variety of reasons why people don't like a place.

Hello,

I am actually considering this same exact complex vs. the Archstone in Woodland Hills... Do you happen to have any kids or do you think this location is family friendly based on your visit?

Thanks!

I have 2 kids! I was told by someone that we know that lives there that there are many kids living there. I didn't see any when we visited though. We only visited them one time. The apartments looked nice.

I am not to excited to move to an apartment, but its best for our family until we get to know the area and what area we want to be in.
Good luck to you!

Large transient population in thoses places. People constantly moving in and out, lots of strangers coming and going.

It's a good area but the apartments are WAY overpriced. I guess they're able to overcharge because people are willing to pay the high rent for some reason. Sigh.

While true, they are somewhat expensive so its not like a weekly rate Motel 6.
