Ironically, the city can be dangerous and safe at the same time. If you're a cop, you're called out to where crime occurs. Crime happens in every neighborhood in this city every day. But if you're a citizen, you're not going to be a victim of a crime every day.

It is like being an employee of the morgue versus not working in a morgue. If you work in the morgue, you see dead people every day. If you don't work in a morgue, very few people you know will die on a given day.

Nah...don't worry about it, movies and shows have always been like that to L.A., although my favorite one was Beverly Hills Cop 2.
