I'd just like to point out the most important thing in your situation. Visa. The US is without doubt, the hardest country to live as a foreigner. You can't simply turn up. US immigration is set up in a very succinct way. There are only a handful of different visa types, put into different buckets. They are: through family, student, and employment. The employment visas are only given to people "in professional fields" e.g. requiring at least a bachelors degree and they are only given out through sponsorship of an employer, in other words, you need a job before you move here. Unfortunately, hair dressing does not fall under "professional job" so if you do want to come out here, you will have to look either at the student option or try to come through the professional route.

maybe you can get a ticket and fly into Mexico and just walk across the US border, hey...everyone else is doing it. Then you can set up your shop, get free medicals, you can also set up your business to take cash only, that way you can ask the government to subsidize a small business and avoid tax. Then you can get married or get pregnant and have an anchor baby. This is plan B in case your plan doesn't work. Don't let people tell you this is illegal be cause if it was illegal then Los Angeles would lose half of its population and you won't see traffic jam anymore.

Not only is the thread old, but her last activity was on "11-23-2007 08:51 AM"
Sometimes old threads can get an update from the OP, which is interesting, but not when they haven't logged on in nearly three years.
