Default What are your thoughts about the Redondo Beach day laborer law?

The Supreme Court turned down Redondo Beach's appeal to have the law reinstated after it was struck down by the 9th Circuit Court.

Since its now apparently legal to advertise an illegal product, in this case the labor of someone without the legal right to work in this country, does this mean I can start selling knock-off iPads across the street?

You line up a bunch of white or black men and they will arrest them all. The illegals just get a trip to the hospital for free medical care.

Are you sure this is about illegals? It looks to me to be about day laborers. They're not the same thing. Citizens need to work too, and people often need workers only for a day or two.

Citizens and legal non-citizens fill out job applications.

Not for short work assignments, Escape. It's a lot easier to pick up a job informally if you don't need a steady, and sad to say both sides evade taxes by doing so. I've done that and I am a lilly-white citizen.

They could be out engaging in much more heinous activities besides simply waiting for work.
