In late April, I'll be in the Canoga Park/Woodland Hills area for the day for a job event. I plan to go to the Topanga Shopping Mall.

What else fun is there to do in the area? I like museums, hobby shops, & shopping for sure. Are there any bookstores or Starbucks a few min from that mall?

the leonis adobe museum in calabasas has the biggest longhorn steer i've ever seen and a bunch of other farm animals as well. there's also a nearby outdoor mall with a fountain/pool with more turtles than i've ever seen.

Take Topanga Blvd south for a good hike in Topanga.

Go to 'Follow Your Heart' in Canoga Park. Best organic restaurant/store in the Valley. Definitely take advantage of it. Lot's of great vegan options if you're into that.

There's a British pub in Woodland Hills called The Harte. During the week they tend to have good British 80's music (again if you're into that).

Can't think of anything else. Not a whole load to do, very family/suburbs town.

Lots of antique stores in Sherman Way in Canoga Park.
Drive by the mammoth F-1 engine at the Rocketdyne plant on Canoga between Vanowen and Victory. Five of these monsters lifted the Saturn V to the moon, 5 X 1.5M = 7.5 million pounds of thrust.

What brown air?

The first photo below was taken in nearby Canoga Park (Eastbound Sherman Way at Corbin) and the second in Woodland Hills (Southbound Canoga at Victory Blvd). You must be referring to the Woodland Hills about 30 years ago... the air is much better now!

That is in West Hills not Woodland Hills. May as well say visit Adobe Park in Tarzana.

Thanks again for your ideas guys! The Topanga Mall is so huge that after walking around all of that & a nice dinner after my 4-hour work training, that will probably be enough & I'll be ready to head home. Maybe I'll try the ideas on another day this summer.
