In the 20's it could be that some people were born in the home. My grandmother was born at home. Hospitals are the location for the majority of births - just keep in mind that they aren't and definitely weren't used exclusively.

What is ironic about Jan Brewer being born in Hollywood?

That's correct. I can remember when Queen of Angels was still open. You can't miss out driving on the 101 freeway.

There also used to be and maybe still is a private hospital in Hollywood, whose name escapes me at the moment.

My little sister was born at Queen of Angels 45 years ago.


I was born at Brotmans in Culver City by Dr Brotman.
When I was born in 1963 the Hospital was named Culver Memorial.

There are studios in the area, so it's almost Hollywood.

agree...many people i grew up with were born at home in the 90028 zip...they do not think this is cool...laughoutloud...yet everyone they meet does...funny to think that many people renting these old apartments don't realize children were birthed in their bathtubs...
