I think they can stay open as late as they want, but they can't legally sell you alcohol past 2.

I am past partying till 2 these days anyways, but even in my prime partying days 3-5 years ago I rarely made it past 2 AM anyways.

I've said this before elsewhere but back then, most of the times I wanted to keep drinking past 2 AM were times I should have stopped anyways!

It would be cool if they would push the last call time back a little bit, but I don't really care that much. Obviously a lot of people do.

When bars close at 4-6am you have time for a nap before you go out Not as much time for a nap with 2am lol

It would be interesting to try it out on a trial basis .

I think another idea that could work would be to only allow it in certain areas .
Downtown LA and Hollywood would make the most sense since they are near transit - subways etc .

The bars could sponsor shuttle buses to the " late night district " that could bring people there from the westside or valley for example .

DTLA feels the premiere area in the city today.

Of course The Westside & Hollywood can be argued.
