Im currently attending Orlando Tech in Orlando, FL for 3D animation. I used to live in Las Vegas and made a few trips to LA (ex gf was from Woodland Hills in the SFV) I've seen the San Fernando Valley, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Malibu, and Downtown. Im mainly interested in being in Santa Monica or being close to it in like West LA or something.

I know rent is MUCH higher than Las Vegas and Orlando (I was shocked to see 2 bedrooms renting for $2600 a month)

I just wanted to know what expenses would be realistic for a single guy in his 20s like me. Im considering moving to LA if the right opportunity comes along when I finish school.

-What would be a comfortable annual salary for a single young bachelor like me? It probably depends on my lifestyle somewhat, I do drink and party every so often, but not often enough to break the bank

-Are car insurance and registration fees really high in LA?

-Would I be able to afford to live in an area like West LA or Santa Monica?

-I imagine with the entertainment industry in LA there is some animation work? How hard would it be to get a job being from Florida, realistically

Thanks for the info
