Default commute between south tip of Rancho Palos Verdes & El Segundo

Hello Again my future Neighbors

I'm wondering if someone can tell me what the commute is realistically like from the southern most tip of Rancho Palos Verdes (think that's the city/area) by the ocean to let's just say LAX to overshoot the drive.

Say around 11am-noon and around 9pm.

Thanks in advance!
Lisa

it shouldnt be too bad at that time. besides, if you Pacific Coat Highway, you will have a lovely view most of the way that will ease the stress of traffic. for the most beautiful route, tell me the area in El Segundo you will be working.

It's somewhere off of Hawaii Street. The buildout is starting very soon and they want me to move out there in Jan to start hiring and have the employees trained and ready to go when the doors open in Feb. Traditionally the sites are in a... light industrial part of town so I'm not expecting it to be overly scenic there *laugh*

I have a 4 mile commute right now, previous work site was 45 minutes, so I'm cringing going back up in time like that, but I absolutely love the job.

Just looking for an idea. Been reading other posts here about crime/ghetto/hotspots etc. I don't think I should trust what mapquest tells me as I think it goes by speed limits and green lights vs. the population density being included.

Thanks for your help!
Lisa

the main thing is to stay off of sepulveda blvd. as much as possible. thats the busiest street in LA, maybe the country. your job is off of rosecrans ave., another extremely busy street. the sepulveda/rosecrans intersection is one of the busiest in the country. pretty much just take any streets but those two.

i have a sister-in-law that lives in same area in Palos Verdes, we love taking the 110 fwy. north, in good days light traffic you make it to El Segundo/Rosecrans exit in about 5 minutes, best to take this route. Taking surface St. Sepulveda Blvd. is a nightmare during rush-hour traffic. I grew up in El Segundo, love to visit but now only a dream to own property there.....
