Im not sure about Miss Kitty. Asked my folks and they said they never heard of that she lived there. So who knows! And i was thinking of staying Ventura Blvd. somewhere. Still not sure. Heard it was bad and poor Van Nuys Blvd is now little mexico. My dad was a postman and had that as part of his route. Very sad.

You know even less about Mexico City than you know about L.A.

Van Nuys is not a neighborhood I'd want to live in, nor a neighborhood that most people would want to live in unless they either just came over the border, just got out of prison, or were either hard drug dealers or hard drug users, but the causes of its troubles are long and complex - and can be traced back to when the factories closed down.. I.e. more like Gary, IN than Mexico City (although I'd rather live in Van Nuys than Gary...)

How about you stay somewhere else that is fun, like santa monica or even Hollywood/depending on what you like to do, and just drive on over to van nuys, look at your house, neighborhood, and after about 15 minutes when you say, "Wow I have moved on in my life" you can leave.

I like the fact that van nuys has big streets so I can cut through quickly when I have to go there. Motels in van nuys are not generally on the "bucket list".
