Default Vacationing in Marina Del Rey- what to do and see

I live in SF and want to see LA for a little bit. I am staying in Marina Del Rey. What is there to do nearby? Santa Monica and Venice Beach are a stone's throw away.

i would rent a bike and ride up to the santa monica pier and back along the beach. also, check out happy our at either cabo cantina, baja cantina or the venice whaler. there's also a really good cuban restaurant where Washington Blvd runs into the Venice pier. the name escapes me but it's on the south side of the street. C&O is a tasty italian place across the street that is fun for tourists. my other recommendation is to rent a duffy boat for a few hours and cruise around the marina. you can bring food and drink with you on the boat as well for added enjoyment.
