Moving next year to LA. Wife and I. No kids.

1- Are there any temp agencies that hire people with no experience for the film/TV industry? I dont care if I'm sweeping floors or fetching java for a big fat producer, I know I have to start at the bottom (and live there a longtime until if/when I get a break).

2- Average cost of car insurance? Lowest coverage prefered.

3- Do I have to put my car through the emissions test? How much is it to convert?

4- How many overcast days do you have?

Thanks for any info.

1. Dunno.
2. Depends on car. 100 bucks/mo for a standard econobox. That's state-mandated liability only.
3. Depends on how old it is. You'll find out when you renew your plates. $$$ if you don't pass. You can fail just by having a computer glitch. The amount of smog you generate doesn't really matter. Good luck if you own a beater.
4. Only when it rains. And it hasn't done that in about 2 years. Nothing but a clear yellow/brown sky and merciless sun. Fires can make it partly/mostly smokey. It's overcast most mornings due to the marine layer, but that burns off by noon and leaves behind the smog layer that turns LA into a greenhouse.
