Default Average commute time from Cerritos to El Segundo

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone know what is the average commute time (During office hours 7:30 to 9:30AM) and (4:30 to 6:30PM) in non car pool vs car pool vs green line metro to commute from Cerritos to El Segundo

Thanks
Sam.

Here is the Green Line schedule, looks like it's 30 minutes from Norwalk to El Segundo.

The Green Line is pretty speedy and reliable because it's all elevated so it doesn't get stuck in street traffic like the blue line.

Assuming you're going west in the a.m. and east in the p.m., it's a pretty nasty drive. I'd estimate it would be minimum 60 minutes. Likely more as it seems that there are 2-3 accidents along the 105 each day during commute hours.

I would suggest monitoring Sigalert at your commute times to get a feel for the traffic. I do the IE to LAX via the 91 several times a year. I generally leave my place at 8:30-9am and head back by 2:30pm. In the AM I'd guess 6:30-8am will have the worst traffic and I'd estimate it will take you 45-55 minutes. The 91W backs up at the 605 interchange so you'd want to experiment with taking surface streets to get on the 91W past that. After 8:30am it should be pretty much smooth sailing. Coming home in the evening at 4:30-6:30 will be rough the whole way. I'd guess it will take 60-75 minutes door-to-door. If you can shift your work hours to 9am-6pm that would be ideal for this commute.

Thanks Everyone for the reply. Does anyone knows how much time it takes in Car Pool as 105 has car pool all the way to airport.

105 is 17 miles long. In the carpool lane, plan on 30 mins but expect a little less most of the time. Traffic will be bad at the Sepulveda offramp and on Sepulveda north in the a.m.
