Gorgeous, gorgeous city- so hilly and green for a megalopolis, and then there are the beaches. I hate it when jealous northeasterners stereotype LA as being flat, gray and uninspiring. Ironically, the cities in that region fit that description much more.

I live in the area and I think its uninspiring, gray and ugly. The cities on the east coast are architecturally much more beautiful and this is what most are referring to.

I hear it all the time from people on the streets. The same kind who think NY/NJ is the sh**. I just smile and let them live in their world.
Humanoid- Architecturally, maybe. I prefer a good balance of natural and man-made beauty in a city and that for the most part just doesn't exist here. Everything was paved over two centuries ago.

And LA is more naturally beautiful than east coast cities. Gray and ugly is easily descriptive of NYC and most midwest cities too. Besides, you should move if you feel so uninspired here.
