King,
I have to hand it to you, you take really great photos. I like them because they seem to capture everything that makes up the city from the gorgeous to the rough, from the rich to the poor, from the brown to the white to the black, to the glamorous to the old. Your pictures of people are good too. They seem to capture the moment and are a more real version of the city than you get on tv.
All around, great job!!!

Some nice photos; others should have been left out.
I have to ask, though, how does this represent keeping it real in LA?

More great photos I like how the low angle of the winter sun gives a different perspective. Your shots of buildings [esp houses] are my favorites along with people's faces. I assume you are using zoom alot. More photos please!

Why'd these get moved into here?
This thread totally shutters and obscures any chance of the forum seeing them.

Well I only asked that because I've posted numerous threads outside of here.
Whatever though.

We went to the Rose Parade and had a great time. We did not camp out, but woke up at 5AM, left around 5:45,, and got to Pasadena around 6:30AM. We managed to get a spot in the third row towards the end of the parade route on Sierra Madre Blvd. We passed the time playing some cards and talking to two very nice families next to us.
Looking down the parade route in the morning. People were lined up and waiting in the cold. Turned out to be fairly hot by the time the parade reaches this portion of the route around 10AM.
This is the float from where I live, Mission Viejo. Costed $300,000+ of taxpayer money, but hopefully it is just this one year to "celebrate 20 years of city hood." Float had a pool on top that Nadeadores swimmers dived in to represent the city's lake, swim team, and Olympic heritage.
L.A. Unified Honor Band
City of Los Angeles float had a lot of icons from the city to celebrate its entertaining heritage.
I have more, but kept it short. I think you get the idea All around, Rose Parade is great!

Wow! Great pictures! I saw the parade on TV twice because I woke up late and missed the beginning. It was spectacular indeed.
