Default Moving to Commerce, CA***URGENT***

Hey everyone,

I am moving to LA. I will be working in Commerce, CA. I am moving from SC. I will be looking to live somewhere close to work. I am 28 yrs old. I'm single and well was in the military for 4 yrs so I feel like I'm 24 really(lost years). Anyway, I would like some serious recommendations on where to live. I could be possibly leaving SC as early as Oct 1st. I could also be coming out to visit as early as this weekend. I just found out my last date and my old job here in SC today(transferring). I know it might be a bit picky but I would love to be somewhere close to LA where tennis is very popular(I play tennis 5 times a week at least). Tennis is a MUST b/c it's what I do after work. I would like to be in or near a city where young people are as well. If I can help it I would like something within a 30 min drive(hopefully including traffic). I REALLY appreciate anyone who takes a look at this and answer honestly. I have been given recommendations like Hacienda Heights and Whittier.

Thanks,

LeeNk4

You are in luck because you will be able to play outdoor tennis about 350 days a year.

What is your rental or home buying budget? Studio apartment OK? Roommates OK? Rent a room OK? No pets? etc. This will help local experts fine tune their responses to you. The more specific information the better.

I will actually be coming w/a friend. The budget for a 2 bedroom will be between $1300-$1700. The cheaper the better But if it's a great area I'm sure we would agree to pay the higher end of figure. Thx, for the fast replies

Have you considered Alhambra? I know there are at least two public
Parks that have tennis courts and its not too far from Commerce.
Also, commerce is all industrial not much residential.
