Personally, i do agree with Chester to some degree. The feminists have gone way too far in a lot of ways, perhaps without even realizing it. I guess this clip sums it up pretty well:
The feminist movement never wanted equality, at least that's not what their actions suggest. Most of them don't even seem to realize that they have the upper hand in a lot of situations. The whole movement seem to be highly irrational in general, although I suppose there are a few exceptions to this.

While I think Chester Fosters posts are a bit strange, he does have a point that the media has saturated the dating scene with ridiculous standards for both sexes. His point was that in the developing world these standards are less apparent.
I never, I mean never had any problem getting dates and I am an average looking guy at best. All I ever need is a van with tinted windows, a rag and some chloroform. [/sickjoke]
On a much more serious note, I do agree with Jester and Barcelona, American women think they are the **** due to the media. It is too much work because you can NEVER be yourlameself when you approach a girl in So Cal and have a chance at it.
You have to be special in some way, more special than most other men out and about. It is like applying at an single job opening at a company where at least a few hundred more are applying at. Good fricken luck!
The more desirable the company, pay, benefits, etc. are the more of the applicants you are competing against. Supply and demand. Materialism and vanity is quite common here and made even women very shallow.
Of course it is not fair to generalize but the part of the crowd you see and interact with is this part. The other part, the low-key or undesirables often overlooked or ignored. In a normal setting, I'd say 75% of men are physical/visual where only 25% of women are. Here in So Cal, visual/physical beauty is important to at least 95% of both women and men. Including myself, most are shallow to a certain degree, whether they acknowledge/admit this or not.
Plus as a society, I fear the newer generation are lacking proper social skills or have none. Even the Generation-X crowd like myself is in a dilemma, the longer you stay single, the harder it becomes to find someone. With aging plus technology, economic hard times, it has become much more difficult to socialize with people even if you have the time and energy! Some people I know have given up on the whole dating scene.

You guys problem is that you guys try for the hottest girl you see go for one that is average. Females are competitive they go for the guy that pays them the least attention because they are insecure and want to prove to them selves that they are hot.
It's an LA thread, the home of Tom Leykis show, who as far as I remember preached not to spend more than $40 on a date and to fake higher status/income (if you don't have one) to get laid. It works for sure if you are a naturally assertive type and/or you have a talent for acting. Women (on the average) are fine tuned by "evolution" to cherry pick higher status males even if they don't intend on "breeding". Paradoxically, showering a female date with money doesn't quite convey your "higher" status and you may very well be denied access to the body. You need to think as residents of an Oakland ghetto who for the lack of McMansions and Yachts convey their relative status by acting discourteously or outright aggressively on every other occasion. Higher status person/monkey locked in concrete or real jungles don't give a dime about the needs, sensitivities and wants of those sitting on the lower perches of the status pyramide. That what makes you an alpha ape whom women LOVE instinctively. On the other hand, most men are fine tuned to pick the prettiest and curviest (not in the sense of fat) girl from the available (to their tax bracket) pool regardless of girl's income and disastrous credit history. That's biology, nothing personal.
And I'm afraid that foreign women are not any different in this regard. It's just that modern USA is 100% tradition-less society programmed by mass cult in contrast to the foreign lands where natural female urges are constrained (to various extent) by tradition and indigenous culture that emphasizes and cherishes the value of male-female survival partnership. Fat (and skinny) American women got liberated from immediate threat to their survival and, honestly, they don't know what in the hell they want or they simply expect way too much from their ********* mates. Third world woman expect nothing except increased chances for family team survival (but that is changing warp speed). For a foreign woman, an American is a higher status ape regardless of his income. Don't fool yourself.

Fat, ugly and domineering women are very secure as a rule. They can't fool themselves into insecurity, they know what they are. You are talking about hot girls (with small imperfections) who wouldn't give rat's arse about proving themselves to poor, low status and less than physically attractive beta males anyway. Rejected beta males mistakenly try to "pay attention" to fat & ugly ones with exactly the same results. Remember "Paying attention" = "Lower status Male" = "no sex". It's an unconditioned instinct to link "paying attention" with "lower status". Romantic movies are bad bad bad advisers on what a real world woman wants. She may very well want attention .... from higher status males, NOT you guys who want to supplement the low status with abundance of "attention".

To All The Single Men: Stay slim, eat right and make that money, then travel. Dating in the US for 40+ successful slim single men makes zero sense.
