Default Good place to live in CA

I am an Indian. Officially I am traveling to CA. My office will be at Rancho, Compton. I heard that Compton is not good place to live. Can any one suggest me, which will be the safest place to live with family and also nearer to Rancho?

Uday

Is Rancho a street? Compton is not a very good place to live because it is high crime.

Hi,

I am still in confusion that, whether it is street name or other name for Compton

Actually the correct address

18420 South Santa Fe Ave
Rancho Dominguez
CA – 90221

Friends are suggesting me to stay in Cerritos, Artesia or in Buena park. Initially I have to prefer public transport to reach Rancho Dominguez, because I have to buy used car and license and it will take time. So I prefer to stay nearer to my office. Please suggest me which place will be safe and nearer.

compton is the worst city in the country, maybe except for gary, Indiana. you definately don't want to live there.

rancho dominquez is a city within compton.

what is your price range for a home or apartment? how many bedrooms do you want? what travel time-frame would you like to have on your way to work? does living near the beach matter to you?

if you can afford it, stay in long beach, signal hill, or wilmington. if not, try carson.

all of those areas i mentioned are near the blue line metro subway. there is a stop about a mile away from where you will be working. you can take the bus there. to get to the nearest station to where you live, you can walk, depending on how close you live, or you can take the bus.

Please do not move to Compton. I would suggest Irvine, Ca. Is a good place to raise a family. Lots of work in IT Field

Have you ever been to compton ? Or Los Angeles?
If you have not, Once you see it and what it is made up of I'll bet you wont be able to get out if their quick enough.
If you have kids in school they will be unsafe. And you and your wife will not be safe walking on the street,
