Hey all,

New user, looking to move to LA with my little family. I currently manage a busy and cool Brooklyn restaurant, having previously worked in very busy high turnover Manhattan restaurants for the past 6 years, and looking to find a great job in the growing LA restaurant world.

Any suggestions on areas with chef driven, strong concept restaurants? I'm not a corporate guy at all, don't want to be on the "management team", but rather want to give my sweat and love to making things be great.

Do these restaurants exist? is there a job forum besides craigslist?

Thanks

I'm no expert but this is what I have heard:

7th Street in Downtown LA - Abbott Kinney Blvd in Venice - Wilshire Blvd area in Beverly Hills (?) - downtown Santa Monica

There are a couple here in Hollywood but I wouldn't say it is a hotbed for chef-driven restaurants, though it seems to be gaining momentum.

Unfortunately, LA is not exactly an awesome place for these kind of restaurants - it is more a medium to low-end foodie's paradise.
