Default Housing & High school near USC

Dear all: First of all I want to thank all of the members who post her and help others. God Bless you all

Please guide me too. I am thinking about working at USC. Have 2 kids that will need to go to 10 & 12 grade. Which places / areas should I search for renting or buying for a family of 4. I have been to LA but have not idea where to live and where good schools would be. My budget is not more than 500,000-600,000 if we decide to buy (2-3 bed / 2 bath). Also Can I find a decent house/townhouse/apt. in 2000-2500 / month rent in a residential area with commute less then 45 mintues to USC? Please help.

Thank you so much.

Will

I would check out South Pasadena, La Crescenta, Arcadia, and La Canada (although pricier).

All are within 45 min. and have good schools. I would stay out of LAUSD in the USC area if you can.

You will have to google them. I don't know them....I am not a realtor and don't even live in CA anymore.

Sorry.
