Hello! I will start a new job in Fullerton and my boyfriend works at Marina Del Rey. We would like to find a place in between but I know his commute will be much worse since the traffic on 405 is crazy. Can any of you give us some suggestions so that our commute time is even or his commute less painful! We would like to live in a safe neighborhood for young professionals.

Thank you!

Thanks a lot! Is the traffic from LA towards Fullerton also bad?

N/B will be worse than S/B, but neither is ideal.

If you live in LA, you will be reverse commuting so it won't be as bad. I went to school in DTLA and commuted from Fullerton for 2 years. It's a good hour and 15min but I was going with traffic.

It all depends where you live and where your work in Fullerton is as well. If you're not near the freeway, surface street driving times can add up considerably. As for a medium between the two of you, DTLA could be workable. Not the best commutes, but doable.
