Hey there! I love reading and learning from this forum so I hope you can provide me with some assistance... I am a very friendly, professional, single 30 yr old female who has just been offered a job in WeHo and they would like me to live near work. Is this a cool/fun area for a heterosexual female? I do like to go out dancing & getting drinks but I also get up every morning and run before work and love pilates and tennis. I am hoping to join some sports groups or clubs to meet some new friends - female or male. I do have a few friends around the LA area, but all are married or engaged. I am just nervous to agree to living in an area that I have only been around for a week! Thanks for reading.

West Hollywood would be perfect for you. All the things you listed (dancing, drinking, pilates, tennis) are all available in west hollywood. You employer says they would like for you to live in West Hollywood, are they paying you enough to afford west hollywood on a single salary?

My employer is offering to subsidize my rent so that I may live in the area. I will be working from home and traveling via car/plane to see clients.

Deal! Move to West Hollywood. You'll love it. (If you don't love it, you're not going to love anywhere in L.A.)

Thank you for the responses! I am suddenly very excited instead of freaked out. Now I just need to get out of Chicago before it gets cold...

It gets cold. I remember one day last year when it was down to 48 degrees. I just shudder thinking of that near freezing temp. lol.

Not everyone in West Hollywood is gay. There are many straight people that live/party in West Hollywood, especially on Sunset.
