THe places on san vicente all close by 11 pm, if not earlier, so they are good for dinner or a drink or two at the bar. But then you're forced to either go home or migrate to a real open till 2 am bar. Which yes, south santa monica and venice has plenty of, as well as Westwood and West LA...

Right, I made this a stop on the way and see whats happening. I liked these places especially since they were on the way home for me when I lived in the immediate area. Also good for weeknights
where I wasnt looking to hang out until 2. Walk or cab down to wilshire was easy.

There is going to be a different crowd at these places. 8-9pm and it was pretty fun. after that if it's dead you move on... I'm not into going to one place for hours on end though, so I like to move around.

^Also the brentwood restaurant lounge bars etc are very pricy... think $15 for most cocktails... and "well" does not fly around there.

Though the brentwood bar and grill (or I guess they call it "brentwood restaurant now" on sunset and barrington is open till 1 am or so. but it's not close to anything.

If you are under the age of 30-35 definitely stick to the 2 am real bars.... Plenty of middle aged to elderly professionals frequent the bar toscanas and brentwood bar/grill till 11 pm or so then go home and pass out..
