I love that movie. And how they shot downtown. When I was in L.A. last month, I went to Angels Knoll and sat on the bench there. As I'm sure many people have done, but it was so cool.

But downtown L.A. was beautifully shot. Just like how White Collar films NYC.

I have a little orgasm every time I go through the Bladerunner tunnel under Bunker Hill.

One of the most famous scenes in comedic movie history was filmed in downtown LA. Harold Lloyd's "Saftey Last" where he clings to a clock on a tall building above the city streets. This scene was filmed on Broadway and most of the movie was filmed on Broadway and Spring.

Here is a website detailing the various downtown locations where that classic silent film was shot.

LA is probably the most photogenic city if nice history.

Best scenes of urban landscape I've ever seen were in Heat, Collateral and Drive. All set in LA.

The addition of the US Bank Tower in the 90s really made the skyline spark in movies. Before then I was never impressed with LA in the movies.

He's just an extreme lover of downtown. What's wrong with that?
