I am a 26 SWF working in Newport Beach. Trying to find someplace near West Hollywood where friends are but only want about an hour commute. I am shriveling up in Newport. Not meeting ANY nice SWM's my age that I could connect with and eventually meet my lifelong mate!! sappy, I know, huh?? But seriously, I need to move out of Newport and get closer to West Hollywood. Any suggestions???

I live in Carson and Torrance is next door. I like the area and feels like it's in the center of LA and OC.

We got the 110 and 405 running north and south, and the 91 to head out east.
Redondo, Manhattan and Venice beach is pretty close by.

census torrance
Torrance, California, QuickFacts from the US Census Bureau

Population, 2000
Torrance = 137,946

Roughtly 57% of that population is 18-64 of age

Female persons, percent, 2000 51.4%

White persons, percent, 2000 59.2%

West Hollywood, California, QuickFacts from the US Census Bureau
West Hollywood, California

Population, 2000 35,716

Roughtly 75% of that population is 18-64 of age

Female persons, percent, 2000 44.8%

White persons, percent, 2000 (a) 86.4%

Belmont Shores is part of Long Beach and that is a huge city.

Hmmm. This is a tough one. You may need to find employment closer to West Hollywood for this to work. If you cant find a 26-30 year SWM in Newport Beach youre not really looking. Maybe you need to open up a bit and look for a SHM, SAM, SBM or just a plain SM.

Its about 55 miles from Newport Beach to WeHo. Maybe you should consider Long Beach or Torrance. Still would be quite a drive either way but at least you'll be at the halfway point.

I wonder if Rhazlewood gave up on her search for a SWM and possible move to WeHo.
