Kanye made it, I can see the video working for Chicago just as good.

But for L.A., basically all of our "hoods" that still have cultural significance. Maybe even a Hawthorne Trailer Park

Downtown would be a good start maybe. Near the immigrant owned shops. East LA, hollywood filming the workers and pedestrians.

Down Santa Monica Blvd. near Vermont and Normandie in East Hollywood. I took the 4 bus to Silver Lake / Echo Park on Wed. evening and could not believe how many people were walking the streets, it really rivaled any place along Hollywood Blvd in Central HW (though the people walking in E. HW were almost exclusively Central American).

Downtown seems like a good place, so does Westlake / MacArthur Park. Maybe somewhere in the Adams District or Crenshaw would be good too.
