Does anyone know where I can buy New Mexico Hatch Chiles? I am looking for a roasting event that sells 25 lbs. or more. I'm in Northridge, but willing to drive up to 50 miles for these tasty chiles.

I know that I already missed out on a few events in my area. I hope I'm not too late to get in on the season.

I just saw a local ad online for roasted hatch chiles like two days ago--I can't remember where I saw it.

Here's something I found, though:
http://www.elreyfarms.com/index.html

Looks legit:

The hotel Santa Fe in Las Vegas has a weekend event on roasting chilies. Not sure when but it is near Labor day.

I've seen Bristol Farms grocery stores advertise having them.

I get them here. They do mail order (yes, the website is straight out of 1995).

I saw them at the Ralph's in WLA at Bundy/Wilshire last weekend. They're brought over by the gourmet distributor Frida's and they were roasting them on the spot for $2/pound or something. I bought a pound but I really don't know what to do with them. Peeling the charred skin is such a pita... they taste like a cross between jalapeno's and shi-shi-to peppers.
