Hello - I am being transferred to Torrance, CA. I need to quickly find an apartment or condo in an area for mature professionals, no pets. I understand there are some bad areas in Torrance. I spoke on the phone last night to a manager who has a condo for rent on Vermont street. Is that a good area? She said it's close to KMart!

No. It's nasty. You want to go to the other end of Torrance. Southwest is the nicest.

The best zip code areas are 90505 and 90503 if that helps. These are in the Southwest areas of Torrance.

Along the western border of 90503 is the town of Redondo Beach. You might be able to find a condo or apartment in that area. More specifically, around the streets of Prospect, 190th, Beryl, Torrance Blvd. Good luck.

I was about to suggest those parts of Torrance in those ZIP codes. 90503 is west Torrance bordering Redondo Beach and 90505 is south Torrance, also known as Walteria. Those parts of Torrance are the nicest.
