It's looking bad for Laker fans. We have Cox Cable and as far as I know, we won't be getting the Lakers on TV for most of their games. I'm sure others will be in the same boat unless things change.

This is the same boat the Padres are in. They are now on FSN San Diego, which is only carried by Cox, DTV, and UVerse. Dish and Time Warner(over 200,000 households in San Diego) do not carry it

It might be the greatest thing that happened to the Clippers since Blake came on board. The Clippers might get a LOT more attention from Angelenos and combined with expectations that they'll be a pretty exciting team too, they might give the Lakers a run for their money - especially if the Lakers don't meet their extremely high expectations.

The Lakers Corp got so greedy, they forgot that people have to be able to see the games on TV to be fans and spend money on the team. I think TWC is going to lose money on this because the other MVPD's aren't going to pay as much as TWC NEEDS to make this work.

SI has the Clippers as Number 5 in the power ratings.

"Los Angeles' little brother is all grown up. While the Lakers addressed their needs with two swift moves of the hand by GM Mitch Kupchak, the Clippers went to work by carving out a series of unheralded acquistions. The team lacked depth at forward, so it landed Lamar Odom and Matt Barnes. With Chauncey Billups recovering from an Achilles injury, the team added insurance in Jamal Crawford and Willie Green. And the Clips beat out a number of contenders to sign 40-year-old Grant Hill, a shadow of his former self but an invaluable contributor as a role player and leader. Now the Clippers might be the deepest team in the league. If Vinny Del Negro can find the right combinations and keep his veteran-laden team happy, Staples Center could be the exclusive home of the Western Conference finals."

Wacky times we're in where the Los Angeles Clippers and the Brooklyn Nets are being propped up as the "next big thing".

Don't get me started.

I assumed that there would have already been a deal with Verizon/Fios and TWC but it doesn't look like it.

Would this be a case where "bootlegging" is justified?

I'd think so.

They can stop it about as effectively as band managers stopping concertgoers from taking pictures with their phones. Google Lakers-live streaming and plug your laptop into your HDTV.
